Visitor’s view on Singapore

I agree with a lot of his views.

I think that Singaporeans tend to have a more negative view of their country than foreigners living in it.

I think Singapore is better than the majority (if not all) of the American cities.  And I scoff at the folks from Singapore who want to retire in Sydney.  I can’t fathom why they would want to.

    If you stay in the city for your entire life, you tend to look forward for a country life and vice versa.

    This applies to both sides of the story.

  2. It is quite human to submit to a ‘grass is greener’ attitude, but then again dissatisfaction is not necessarily a bad thing. It could also express a desire for things to improve, which is an equally human attitude. The trick is to move forward without losing too much of what we already have. :)
