It takes a long time to become young

So said Pablo Picasso.

A year ago I was standing on the side of a mountain road in East Timor.  Having a knee-slapper of a time drinking rice whiskey that certainly didn’t go through any FDA approval.  Maybe it even had melamine in it.

This year I’ve decided to stick around where I can speak the language and find good Japanese food.  I’m in Singapore and it’s my birthday.

So I raise a glass and toast to myself.  Happy times, good times… and may we all recklessly fumble through another year.
