It really frustrates me when I want to use an internet application but am blocked from doing it due to it not being available for a geographic reason. For example, Skydrive has exited beta and basically offers every user storage space of 5 gigabytes! Free. Unfortunately it is not available for people in Singapore. I get a, “Sorry this service isn’t available yet in your region.” Bah!

Same thing with Pandora, iTunes music store, etc. What’s frustrating about it is that the internet is supposed to knock down these geographic barriers.

  1. Truly frustrating, indeed. I’ve been waiting for the Amazon Kindle to be functional here, and so far they haven’t managed to establish the network and stuff.

  2. Are you *sure* it isn’t more of a race thing.
